 My pulav is easy to make. Made with chicken and basmati rice, using spices such as ginger-garlic paste, whole garam masala, red chili powder. It is a very tasty, simple, finger licking recipe.

                            Ingredients:
                        
 
                        
                        - 1 lb Chicken (500gm)
- 2 cups Basmati Rice
- 1 big onion (fried brown)
- 2 green chilies
- 2 TBS Ginger-Garlic Paste
- 1 tsp Red Chili powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder
- Whole Garam Masala (cinnamon 1", cardamom 2, clove 2)
- 1/2 tsp Fennel
- Handful Coriander Leaf (cilantro) and Mint
- Cashew and Raisins - garnishing
- Ghee or Cooking Oil - as per taste
- 4 cups Water
- Salt

                        - Clean and marinade chicken with red chili powder, garam masala powder, ginger- garlic paste and salt.
- Soak rice for 20 minutes, rinse 2-3 times, drain & keep aside.
- Heat ghee in a heavy bottom vessel, add whole garam masala, fry 2 minutes.
- Add fennel, after splutters add green chillies.
- Now add chicken, ginger-garlic paste saute 2 minutes. Cook covered for 10 minutes. Open and add coriander and mint leaves.
- Cook covered till chicken is done.
- Now add rice, mix well. Add water, adjust salt.
- Cook covered till done, about 20 minutes.
- Garnish with fried onion, cashew, and raisins.
- Serve. It goes well with chicken curry.
