Ingredients:
- 1cup masoor dal
- I onion finely chopped
- 1 tomatoes finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon Ginger minced
- 1 teaspoon garlic minced
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
- Salt
- 1 tbsp ghee
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 2 dry chilies
- 1 tablespoon ginger julienne
- 3 garlic cloves crushed
- 1 teaspoon Hing
- Curry leaves
- Coriander fresh
- 2 cup water
Directions:
- In the cooker add masoor dal, chopped onion, chopped tomato, grated ginger and garlic, salt, turmeric powder, water and mix them together.
- Cook them at least for 3 whistles.
- For Tempering: – To the small pan add ghee, cumin seeds, chopped ginger, garlic pods, curry leaves, dry red chili, asafoetida and mix them together for 1 minute.
- Masoor dal tadka is ready to serve with hot steamed rice.
