Easy Cooking: Tuvar Dal – Indian Tuvar daal recipes are most popular and widely consumed in India and cooked in Indian house. Gujarati tuvar daal is an interesting, spicy, tangy flavor dal that most people love to eat. Tuvar dal is also known as arhar dal.
People prefer to eat as a lunch or as a dinner meal which gratify them. Indian recipes uses several different dal and have different taste as well. Some dal uses vegetables and other with seasonally only. It is easy and quick recipe which is prepared in 15 min.

Ingredients:
- 1 Cup dal
- 1 spoon ghee
- 1/4th asafoetida
- 1/2 tbs turmeric powder
- 15-16 curry leaves
- 1/2 tbs mustard seeds
- 1/2 tbs cumin seeds
- Salt to taste
Directions:
- Start by cooking the dal in a pressure cooker with water, turmeric and hing.
- Once cooked, take off the heat and keep aside.
- In a heated pan, add in ghee, cumin seeds, hing, mustard seeds, curry leaves and the cooked dal along with salt.
- Mix well and let it cook. Serve hot.
