Ingredients:
- 1 cup tur dal cooked
- Turmeric: 1 teaspoon
- Chilli powder: A pinch
- Garam masala: A pinch
- 2 Green chillies
- Ginger grated 1tsp
- 1 tomato chopped
- Mustard seed: 1 teaspoon
- Hing: A pinch
- Curry leaves
- Jeera
- Ghee
- Sugar
Directions:
Main
- Pressure cook tur dal adding turmeric and salt to taste.
- Take a saucepan, add cooked dal, water, ginger, tomato, green chilli.
- Mix it together and close the lid.
- Let it cook for few minutes.
- Add salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder, garam masala and sugar.
Tempering
- Heat ghee in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves and hing.
- Add the tempering to the dal mixture.
- Your sweet & spicy amti is ready to serve.
